About Us

Oakwood Tree Care Professionals, Inc., has been serving south-central Pennsylvania and Maryland since 2005. Established by Scott Lussier, Oakwood promises expert service - a promise ensured by Lussier's twenty years' experience in the green industry, six of which were spent as an arborist and a pesticide applicator at the prestigious Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. It was this stint that encouraged Lussier to embark on a new venture, Oakwood Tree Care Professions, Inc.

However, Lussier's resume extends far beyond Longwood. His long history in the green industry extends to the following:

• Earned a degree in Forestry from Penn State University
• One of a handful of people in the USA to have earned both accreditations, the ISA's Board Certified Master Arborist and ASCA's Registered Consulting Arborist (RCA)
• Instructed classes for HACC (Harrisburg Area Community College) and Hershey Gardens
• Served as a board member of the Tanger Arboretum and in the Lancaster community
• Worked as a utility arborist, utility line-clearance tree trimmer, Integrated Pest Management consultant
• Led Longwood's Arboriculture class in their Professional Gardener Training Program
• Taught Longwood's "Planting and Transplanting Trees and Shrubs" and "How to Prune Small Trees" Continuous Education Program
• Maintained a Christmas tree nursery
• Landscaped for Witman Landscaping in York, Pa
